Training Camp Bound

I will be gone till the 31 of may! Im headed to training camp. Im soooo excited and a ton of other emotions. Please pray for me. I cant wait to meet my team, see what God teaches me, and learn more about my journey! Thanks for all the love and support i have received from all you. I cant wait to get back and share with yall about my training camp experience.

HAVE YOU TAKEN YOUR MEDS TODAY?

Have you ever been sick and went to the Dr because you couldnt get well any other way? If so did the Dr. give you a prescription for some medicine that would help you? How many times have you started to feel better and not finish taking the medicine the DR gave you? I know I almost always do this but why do we not follow the directions and take them all?
My last post was about being contagious and spreading Jesus! Now our medicine is the Bible given to us by God. The word of God is what transforms us from the world and into the Christ like person we should be. The Word of God is what will keep us going. God gave us the Word not to just use when we need a quick fix or an answer? We should memorize and learn the Bible. God gave us the Bible to use and He wants us to read it daily not just when we want to! He also wants us to make the scriptures in the Bible a part of our life. What good does the Bible do if it’s a book on a coffee table, a shelf, or in your car? Open it up and learn the Word of God!
We must believe the Word of God is true! There may be things we do not understand or like but we know that it is the truth and we must read it and ask God to speak to us through his word. When we start learning the Word of God it begins to transform us. We will see change in us and sometimes we will not like what we read because it will show us things we need to do or not do. So I encourage you to take your medicine. Don’t take it when you feel like it or have time. Don’t just read it either learn and understand what you are reading!
SO FILL YOUR MIND AND HEART WITH THE WORD OF GOD.

WE HAVE SO MANY DISEASES IN THIS WORLD THAT WE DO EVERYTHIN IN OUR POWER NOT TO CATCH. WE TAKE VACCINES AND SPREAD THE NEWS EVERYTIME WE HAVE A BREAK OUT. WELL THE DEVIL IS A “VACCINE” FOR PEAPLE TO CATCH OR SPREAD JESUS! HE IS SNEAKY AND KNOWS SO MANY WAYS TO HINDER US FROM SPREADING JESUS OR PEOPLE RECEIVING JESUS! WE MUST NOT LET THE DEVIL KEEP US FROM HAVING JESUS IN OUR LIFE. THE DEVIL DOES NOT WANT US TO CATCH JESUS AND WILL DISTRACT US FROM THAT. HE MAKES THE WORLD LOOK SO GREAT AND THINGS OF THE WORLD SEEM SO AWESOME BUT ITS ALL FAKE AND THE WORLD WILL HURT YOU AND LET YOU DOWN. JESUS WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR HURTS AND PAINS, GIVE YOU LOVE LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED, SHOW YOU THE WAY, NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE YOU, AND FORGIVES YOU NO MATTER WHAT.
SOME OF US HAVE CAUGHT JESUS BUT WE WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO TELL… I HAVE BEEN THERE!
SOME OF US HAVE TO MUCH IN OUR LIFE THAT WE DON’T THINK WE DESERVE JESUS.
OTHERS HAVE CAUGHT JESUS AND ARE A NEW PERSON NOW
THEN THERE ARE SOME WHO DON’T EVEN KNOW THERE IS A JESUS
SOME KNOW ABOUT JESUS BUT DON’T HAVE TIME DON’T WANT TO GIVE UP THINGS TO HAVE JESUS
DON’T LET THE DEVIL BE A VACCINE TO YOU IF…..

MAKE SURE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS ONE PEOPLE CAN SEE. THIS IS A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WHICH TAKES TWO. WE KNOW GOD IS DOING HIS PART BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU? ARE YOU OPEN TO ALL HE HAS FOR YOU? ARE YOU DOING YOUR PART? STOP PLAYING GAMES IF NOT. THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO DO NOT EVEN KNOW JESUS AND WE CANT EVEN GIVE UP A FEW THINGS TO REALIZE THAT WHAT WE HAVE IS SOMETHING SO MANY PEOPLE NEED AND ARE SEARCHING FOR!
YOU DO NOT KNOW JESUS
THIS IS AN EASY THING TO CATCH. I AM NOT SAYING YOUR LIFE WILL BE EASY WITH JESUS BUT YOU WILL BE CHANGED. NO MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE DONE IN THE PAST GOD WILL OPENLY TAKE THEM AND FORGIVE YOUAND FORGET THEM. HE WILL BEGIN TO WORK IN YOU AND THROUGH YOU. YOU WILL HAVE TO GIVE UP THE THINGS IN THE WORLD. YOU CANT CATCH JESUS AND NEVER CHANGE YOUR WAYS. SO MANY PEOPLE LIVE THIS WAY AND SET THE WRONG EXAMPLE. IF YOU CATCH JESUS BE OPEN TO LET HIM WORK IN YOUR LIFE AND USE YOU!!!

Update on my financial needs for this mission trip!!!! praising God for all that has been done in such a short time.

My goal is $15000 and i know that seems like a lot of money but I know God will provide. In less than a month i have raised $2000. So please keep praying for money to keep coming in. I still have tshirts if any of you would like to order one. We are going ot have several others fundraisers! One being a garage sale the first Saturday of June! If any of you would like to donate any items please let me know.

Today was an awesome day...

I woke up early this morning and met AJ and we headed to Monroe. We had been talking about going to visit my buddy Dean and decided that today was a good day to do so. Im so glad we did because it was a great day. We really enjoyed our time visiting.

We arrived just in time for LUNCH!!! Red beans and rice, cabbage, and cornbread! It was really good and my first time eating red beans and rice. After lunch the boys wanted to ride bikes. Yes AJ and I got on some bikes and headed out with the boys. IT WAS A BLAST. We ended up on a porch visiting and it was full of great conversation and laughs. I felt like i have known them all for years. Sitting and visiting and enjoying the sunshine really refreshed me! It was just what I needed!!!On our way home we sang praise and worship songs and just enjoyed talking!

I came home to visit with my family since my little brother is home for a few days.

TOMORROW IS THE START OF REVIVAL AT IMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH WITH BRO LEE THOMAS! so come join us during revival!!!

FACE or HAND

a prayer i found that really spoke to my heart!

Holy Lord, we ask You to deepen and purify our very motives in praying for revival and blessing. Lord, teach us to seek Your “face” and not just Your “hand.” Cause us to seek You and not just Your comfort or blessing. Dear God, teach us to pray for Your glory and pleasure, not our own.

our church is having revival starting Sunday and our prayer ministry had members to sign up and pray for 30 mins each and this would go on for 24 hours! tonite as i began to pray i really felt God moving and preparing me for what He has for me and others during this revival! We need to go expecting God to move and opened and ready to receive all HE has for us! just praying for revival has revived me......

well as i was praying God showed me to seek His "face" and not just His "hand"! What does this mean? I think so many times we give God a list of our wants and needs adn expect Him to provide them. When He is really wanting us to seek His "face" which would be a "personal" relationship with Him. How many times do we just go to HIM in prayer to just tell Him we love Him and appreciate ALL He has done and will DO! and just let Him have praises without asking for anything? So how do you know if your relationship with God is centered around seeking his face instead of simply his hand?

What can you do to make sure your motive is pure as you praise and worship God?
Spend most of your time with God in praise and worship. Letting God know how much you love and appreciate him never gets old to God. In fact, praise and worship is the key that opens God's heart.
Come to God just as you are with an open heart. Letting God see all that's in your heart, good or bad, lets God know that you value your relationship enough to let him see it all and do whatever he needs to do.
Look for opportunities to offer God praise and worship in things around you. All you need to do is see a beautiful sunset or one of the many other wonders of nature to offer God praise and thanksgiving for that miraculous blessing. God appreciates a grateful heart.
Don't be afraid to show God how you truly feel as you worship him. There are those who don't feel comfortable raising their hands or showing any emotion during worship services. Yet those same people can be found at sporting events or concerts whooping, clapping, and hollering as if it really mattered. I'm not saying you have to jump up and down or shout. Simply standing with open hands shows God that your heart is open and you want to feel God's presence.
And most importantly:
Don't judge, look down on, or criticize someone else because they want to show emotions and energy as they worship. Just because an expression of worship is different than your own, doesn't mean it is inappropriate or wrong. Concentrate on worshipping God yourself so your focus remains on building your own relationship with God.

So seek Gods face and not just His Hand!!!

FRIENDS NO MATTER HOW DIFFERENT WE ARE

never realized it till tonite...... ok my first semester back to school .... i walked into Starky's class. I saw this guy... he had a cubs hat on and tats all over his arms... i dont remember my first thoughts at all....im sure i was unsure of him.. he was different... im sure "the old ashlee" would have thought he wasnt a good person but im so thankful i did not judge him by my first thoughts!!!!

MATT is the name i call him.. he goes by many!!! The first semester of school was fun and exciting because of Matt. Matt, Toni, Amanda, Sherrie and I all became friends. We spent time talking before and after class and just really enjoyed each other. Labs were alway fun on our side of the room. Then at the end of the semest we found out Toni's schedule would not work and that Sherrie was doing the fast track and poor amanda didnt survive starky. So it was just Matt and I moving on to the next level with Starky. Second semester we found a new group of buddies. Melanie, Beth, and Lance. We had a good first semester but second semester is where our frienship really started!

TONITE I REALIZED THAT EVEN THOUGH WE ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WE HAVE A FRIENDSHIP THAT WILL LAST A LIFE TIME. THAT IS BECAUSE WE DID NOT LET OUR DIFFERENCE STOP US FROM GETTING TO KNOW US. I KNOW GOD HAS BLESSED ME JUST BY KNOWING HIM AND HIS FAMILY!

SO I ENCOURAGE YOU TO LOOK BEYOND YOUR DIFFERENCES. DONT LET SOMETHING UNFAMILIAR STOP YOU FROM GETTING TO KNOW SOMEONE. FUNNY HOW SO MANY TIMES WE DONT GET OUT OF OUR CIRCLE AND BY DOING THAT WE MISS OUT ON SOME AWESOME PEOPLE

i cant stand "FAKE" CHRISTIANS!!!

is your everyday life a stumbling block for others or one that encourages others to want to know God personally? Who are you fooling when you pretend to be a Christian? NO its not my place to judge your walk with God but come on be real with yourself!!! There is enough darkness in this world without Christians being the one causing more problems. No becoming a Christian doesnt make you perfect but if there is not a change in your personal walk and the way you live your life why would someone who does not know God want to change and want to know God? If you are inviting people to church on sunday from your work but at work all week you dont have something to offer that is different from what the world already has to offer them THEN WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO COME? i could go on and on....

Sin is SIN and God does not have a ranking on sin but for some reason we do ... Not sure why that is but all sin is equal and God wants us to see these things in our life and wants us to work at removing these in our life!

I was listening to different things and reading different blogs and I kept hearing this.... Love God and Love others! When you start to love and allow God to love you then you will begin to grow personally in your walk. A true love for others will not see whats on the outside but you will want to see their heart! Give me your eyes is one of my favorite songs... God give me your eyes so that we can see whats going on in that persons life. Help me Lord to see other peoples needs and reach their needs! Help me to love them no matter that situation and with out judgment.

Just be real... when we are fake we are only fooling us... God knows our heart!!!!

so today we had a suprise bday party for leslie... she has been wanting one and its hard to do for someone who asks for one! BUT HILLIS GOT IT DONE!!! even in bad weather!
